So Much More Than Pushing A Few Buttons! ...

Some people think that a DJ does nothing more then push buttons and play the music that they personally want to hear.  Although you will find many “weekend warrior” DJ’s that fit this bill, it is a misconceived notion with Premier Mobile Disc Jockey’s.  A professional DJ has many duties they must do to perform a successful party.  Here is a partial list of what our DJ’s do for each and every performance.

  Research Music

Your DJ must not only be aware of past hits, but also stay informed on current music trends and popular artists.  We subscribe to the same monthly services that many radio stations belong to.  Chances are if your favorite song is being played on the radio, it is in our master library.

Equipment Roadie

The gear has to get there somehow.  Your DJ not only transports the equipment to your site, but also arrives one hour before your start time to set everything up.

  Sound Technician

Music has to sound good for people to respond.  Our DJ’s run a series of test before the start of your event and properly adjusts equalization for maximum sound quality.

    Emcee/Master of Ceremony

Your DJ has many important microphone duties to perform during your event.  It is our job to coordinate the affair and make sure all the important announcements are done professionally.  This all begins with lining up and skillfully introducing the bridal party with flair.  We will take charge and coordinate all the special activities that you choose.  Don’t underestimate the importance of a professional announcer.  A true pro will set the tone for the entire affair.

Music Programmer

All parties are not the same and everyone doesn’t like the same music. Our experience over the years has given us insight into what people want to hear.  We have the ability to motivate your guests with playing the right music at the right time.  We’ll keep all age groups in mind and feature a special set of hits just for them.  When we sense that people have been on the dance floor for long periods of time and are getting tired, we’ll slow it down with a classic ballad.  Then, it’s back to the music rotation that appeals to you and your guests.

As you can see, your DJ has allot to worry about. Why do we invest so much time and energy before the first note of music is ever played?  Simple... to ensure that you and your guest enjoy, and more importantly REMEMBER your special event!
